Lately I have been ranting about how hard and how different college is and the how difficult fitting in a certain clique is but I realized something today.
I rode a jeepney today going home. I was damn tired and I just wanted to go home immediately. If I could just teleport and be home in less than an hour. Anyway, we're not yet that far from Mendiola when I saw people, specifically construction men digging and pounding the sidewalk. It was hot and the sun was still up. They were pounding and whacking very hard and it seems the hardest job ever. I can't imagine myself carrying those long metal and continuously striking it to the hard side walk just for me to fix the canal. Imagine all the dirt and the heat and the sweat and the pain of work.
That's when I realized, I've been ranting so much about how hard and how long it was to commute to and from school when some people didn't even go to school, didn't even have a choice whether or not to work because it's the only job they know.
Some people have it a lot worse. My life isn't even a mess. I can go to college and my parents have been supporting me all through out. And instead of ranting I realized I should be really thankful.
Thank you Lord for this day! Thank you Lord.
